I knew someone would mention the eyes closed thing. It's very much a way to express 'looking inward'. All my art pieces are about the imagination, so my characters look in rather than focusing on the outside. Though I do have a few pieces that don't contain characters with their eyes closed. I might submit them to deviantart soon (they're currently hidden under my bed XD) .
