I remember when donkey kong country came out there were stories on the evening news, and in my newspaper about the incredible graphical technology behind them, showing lots of pictures of Donkey Kong wire frames and whatnot. It was a great game too.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Just like Barrel Blast...

How about Intellivision Baseball -- or all their sports games for that matter. 8*>

Seriously, given what else was out there at the time, having games where people looked like players, where there were more than one player (and a full team in baseball), and fields/courts reminded you of their real life counterparts was a big step forward in the early 1980s.

Then the Colecovision had what seemed like dead-on ports of my favorite arcade games -- Omega Race and Cosmic Avenger. Hated that I had to give those up when my Adam crashed.

OK, enough of the old-timer rants.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I remember almost passing out when I saw the first screens for Madden PS2, looking back, that was pretty silly.

Half life:2 on the first run was very visually impressive. Loved the lighting.

What a beauty^^

Uncharted, Crysis, and Gears Of War, all do it for me aswell.

Past games that satisfied my whorish desires: God of War, GT series, Halo, MGS2.

Most of us I believe were not even born to remember what your talking about. I barely remember Super Mario World

Both Out of this World

and Flashback

I loved these games and was impressed with them in the SNES/Genesis era.

None. NO game even looks the slightest bit close to real life nor would I ever want any game to even be close.

I actually get the most excitement from games that have a unique artistic style. Okami over Crysis anyday for me.
