Ya 20k is too high, but it had a MH game release there, and a price drop on the elite and arcade. Also retailers had the option to cut the price of the arcade by however much they wanted.

what do you mean by how much ever?

is microsoft just selling the existing HW to retailers for free that they can cut howmuch ever price

DS did ;) but I expect wii to have a boost with wii party, about 2K or so but when kirby epic yarn is out I expect a fairly big boost, over 15K I'de say or maybe 20K, and over 90K with DQX which seems to be behind the clouds still.

Thanks, I couldn't remember if the cuts were going to happen in Japan, as well.  And with the MH release, it may push it a little over 10K.

Check Japan preview comments for last week, several people said this, I put my faith in them.

Yeah, posters in Japan are reporting sellouts in general department, electronic and toy stores, but not game centric stores.  It may be an issue of the former under-ordering, but used copies are scarce too, which implies maybe more casuals are buying it than core gamers...
