hi guys! since i got a some extra money recently i'm thinking about buying a couple of wiiware/virtual console games.

i'd like to try some castlevania. i love SoTN style castlevania but i never played one of the classic style CV... which one of the CV i should try? The adventure Rebirth, IV or Rondo of Blood? i'd like to try the one that best "summarizes" this style of games and that's not too hard (i know games from those years can be a little unforgiving)

i'd also like to try an ogre battle game but i can't decide between the snes one and the N64 one. which is the best? or which i could like more? for reference the only Srpg game that i've played is Fire Emblem for the cube and i liked it very much, except for the fact that the permadeaths annoyed me. i also like advance wars games (maybe more than fire emblem)

if anyone has any recommendations besides these games i'll be glad to hear them

If you like the Fire Emblem games, chances are youll enjoy the Shining Force games on Genesis. Very similar.

If you haven't already, you should definitely give LostWinds 1 & 2 a try. They're a lot of fun ^_^.

@voltaire: which one of the shining force games would you recomment to me? how do they compare to the ogre battle titles? and a last question: should i play them in order or i could just star from the second one?

@Myak-04: i already own both the lost winds games, but i only finished the first. i didn't like them very much. i recognize they are good games, but they are not for me.

Castlevania Adventure Rebirth is definitely the easiest of the 3 Castlevanias you mentioned. My personal favorite Castlevania is Castlevania IV, but I can see why many people like Rondo so much...I had a blast with it. I dont recall if Castlevania III is on the VC or not, but I'd highly recommend it if you ever feel like tackling a true challenge.
