Then you would either be a Gladiator or a Marauder. Marauder is an extremely powerful warrior but with crap def. Gladiator is a mix between strength and defense.

Well because I plan on playing it alone too I think Gladiator will be a better choice....balanced.
I'm thinking of Balancing between a Gladiator/Fisherman/Blacksmith!
I will be gettin this on prolly both PC and PS3. Really looking forward to it, played ffxi for almost 5 years before I finally burnt out on it. Anyone else have problems with the benchmark loading? I get some error that a file is missing and to reinstall but tried that and didnt work. Did some google searching and others seem to have same or similiar issue.

Try one of the following. This is what I did.
- Type that error code into google. Hopefully you will find whatever it is. Download it and run it
- Update your graphics card drivers to the newest ones
- Check to make sure your Direct X is updated.
Ill be picking this up on the PS3.

Cool, any thoughts of what race/nation/classes your going to be? :D
Can anyone tell me what makes FF14 unique? I'm just curious, and I want to see what makes it stand out.

Well for starters the game is just down right GORGEOUS for being a MMO. It is on par with Final Fantasy XIII to me. But I think the developers think that their armoury system is what makes the game unique. You can change your weapon on the fly and instantly become another class.
You equip a spear and you become a lancer. or you equip a hammer and you turn into a blacksmith. Also you never are specifically stuck into one class. There is also no skill trees so you don't have to worry about making mistakes.
Your character has a Physical level which is essentially your total character level. You can level up classes and switch to another class and retain some of those abilities that you learn.
The game will also have voice overs for the cutscenes as well.

So your skills change based on what weapon you equip basically?
Are there any other talking points or is that mainly it?
