The biggest issue here is the fact Sony has failed to show how powerful the Eyetoy is since  Selnor knows so much about the technology which Harmonix doesn't.

Harmonix didn't say anything about Eyetoy.  They said they'd investigate the possibility of doing a port with Move.

They didn't need to say eyetoy since you need the eyetoy to use the Move anyway.

Sure, but it implies a different approach than Kinect.  If they're using Move, then they're not relying purely on the camera, and what limitations it may or may not have compared to Kinect.

No, it's just you hoping.

lol.  This one was particularly seething / schoolyard.

Again, I blame Sony for failing to show how powerful the eyetoy is, yes it may not be as advanced as kinect, but trust me, it can do the dance game easily, but don't expect developers to seperate eyetoy/move, they compliment each other. You are looking for things that aren't there.

Kinect couldn't do Dance Central easily even, and that's with Microsoft software engineers addressing Harmonix's issues and hurdles directly.   As usual, I think you're overshooting Sony's real world capabilities...

so the ps3 is getting the game which kevin butler made fun of in the sony conference? ouch, sony, ouch.

Couldn't Harmonix just bundle an eyetoy and some glowing ping pong balls with the Wii version? It'd be cheaper than Kinetic or Move.

Licensing Ubisoft's camera, with or without Motion Plus, would be even cheaper.

Oh Harmonix, your persistent evasion of dirtying your hands on Nintendo's platform amuses me (given that they've been so hesitant and backwards about Rock Band on Wii)

What's happened to that thing? Just the one fitness game?

Harmonix is a hardcore-cazual game developer, Wii is only for caszual-cazual games.

I love Let's Dance, but I stopped reading here "One of the of the most important games of E3, Dance Central"

LOL!

It's because it was the only demo for the Kinect at E3 that wasn't bogged down by the infamous avatar delays, and the gaming press has to find some way to avoid admitting the Microsoft presentation was about as bad as the Nintendo 08 presentation.

And I know that's what's going on because this is a Kotaku article, a long Nintendo-hating site and HD kiss-up.

BTW, I think the camera is a reason to not have a Wii version, but if wearing sensors are required for the PS3 version (but again, if), then sensors should work for the Wii version, just reading from the sensor bar.

Their actual analysis of why Dance Central could be great is a lot more in depth than simple Nintendo hating

http://kotaku.com/5566468/the-best-game-for-kinect-game-could-be-the-most-important-game-of-e3

And are you suggesting that they did nothing for the hardcore? No new games, but they demoed Halo, Gears, CoD and showed off Halo. Not amazing, but not nothing

1. I also wrote they were HD kiss-ups, so I did not claim it was simple Nintendo hating.

2. I did not claim they did nothing for the hardcore. How does that read from my comment? Bad presentation does not mean they did nothing for the hardcore.
