But... but... but... How can you say it is a fallacy?  Are you working on the game?  How do you know it won't happen for Versus?

The game uses the same engine as FF XIII. But unlike XIII, which is totally linear with no backtracking, Versus has free roaming.  Which makes it a game that is realistically going be more massive than XIII graphically as far as data in concerned.  Do you seriously think they are going to cram every locations on every discs, and have only the cut-scenes and some one-shot data be unique to each discs?  How could you explain it, if they didn't manage to do it with Star Ocean, which uses a less demanding engine?

EDIT: And you clearly didn't get a single word of that part you "bolded out". ^^,

But hey, here's the big question; how deeply are you involved in this project? You are not. Notice how you turned my question around in typical "I don't know what to say so I"ll just respond back rewording the same question he asked me." I said because you're not involved in the project you do not know what the programmers are doing to store the game. Then you said because I'm not working on the game, I do not know how exactly they are doing to store the game. Then in your second paragraph suddenly you tell us that because FFXIII is a certain way, FXIIIv MUST be a certain way, which by the way, cannot be fit on the 360s storage unit. Let me put it in even more simple terms:

DOGS ARE CARNIVOROUS THEREFORE HYNAD MUST BE A DOG

Notice it now? Probably not. But hey, that's ok because you're right cuz you said so and you know it all. I'm wrong because I don't work for SE or on this project. Hmm, interesting!

i think that's enough Soonerman, we already know the game wouldn't fit the 360's storage medium is a fact, it would have to multidisk like ffxiii. whether you would need to switch disks to backtrack is an assumption, he never stated as a fact and he was just making a joke.

IF it ever comes to the 360 we'll see, until then you seem to be the one who cant drop the bone (see what i did there?)

and for someone with education you seem to be wanting to drag this discussion to a lower level with each post you make, so please try to show your pseudo "superiority" in some other way, preferably away from this thread since you havent seem to shown any interest in the game and only came here to post sarcasm and pick up a fight.

And about that bullshit GameInformer rumor about Versus XIII going Multiplat, it really is just bullshit:

Final Fantasy Versus 13 Not Going Multi-Format Response From Game Informer

Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 12:29 pm by Curtis

I contacted Game Informer for the rumour about the printing of FFv13 going multi-format and this is the response they gave me:

Hi Curtis Green,

Thanks for contacting us!

From time to time our Gameinformer Australia magazine incorporates game information regarding other countries.

Currently there is no confirmation from the vendors regarding the formats of FFv13, or if it will be a multiformat game.

Thanks again for your enquiry; we hope to see you back online again soon.

So there you have it, it must have just been an error that slipped through the cracks of the Australian issue.

I guess this ends all the speculation about a rumor that was just as fake as the hope that some people put in it

Since you're not in the group of those wanting for a multi-platform announcement as the deciding factor whether they'll buy Versus or not, then it isn't meant for you.

Frankly I hope this stays in the PS3 too. We have been shown time and time again that when a game draws exclusively from the individual strengths of a single console, that's when the games can be maximized in every field, not only in the graphical department.

And also, there are those who want this game to go multi just to see the meltdowns again, just as it happened after E3 2008.

yes, it's not like they want to play the game, at least not all of them

That would be me! I would still get the ps3 version, don't get me wrong, but I love complete meltdowns.

I don't think people should meltdown because of a video game (it's pretty ridiculous), but I also don't see why they are so fun. Hoping for meltdowns is like hoping to revel in the pain of someone else, it's kinda low.
