Is it just piracy/homebrew related?

I believe so yes. I noticed no difference in the way the home screen looks or works.

8th gen predictions. (made early 2014)
PS4: 60-65m
WiiU: 30-35m
X1: 30-35m
3DS: 80-85m
PSV: 15-20m

The only addition appears to be IOS58, which owners of "Your Shape" will already have. It contains drivers for the USB camera.

it also adds IOS80.

The new update automatically deletes all homebrew and pirated games from the Wii.

Eh, forgot about that. By now its a given that a new system menu will run off a new IOS.

@Euphoria: that would be pretty smart if it could delete pirated games, but it merely removes the ability to run them by deleting installed channels with particular title codes, and preventing certain other loading / installing methods. I'm sure there will be a new Homebrew Channel with a different title code in a few days, and the countdown to SysMenu 4.4 can begin.

Oh BTW I'm very displeased it doesn't even add any real features but just erases all homebrew, I don't really use much home-brew apps but I really like Riivolution (it allows me to play retail discs from other regions). A well I still have a Japanese Wii though so even if it's impossible for the home brewers to make it work again (which isn't the case) I can at least play JAP titles. Not so convenient though.

I just wish every console was region free.

No need. I can tell you first hand that I can still run games like SMG2 with USB loader on the old 3.4U firmware, which I am still running.

I refuse to give up my custom NSMBWii levels.

Looks like I have to look up all the crazy shit you can do with home-brew, custom NSMBWii levels = greatness. Are you also able to make your own??

Thanks for the info!! I am hoping for an update that enables transfer of certain files because I would love to get a black Wii, transfer all my stuff to it, and give my old Wii to my niece.
