Forums - Sales - Will the 360 see a sales with Monster Hunter Fronteir?

I just noticed Monster Hunter Fronteir is gonna be hitting Japan in a a couple days. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes the best selling 360 game in Japan even if it's just a port.

I'm expecting a mega hardware sales boost in Japan. Xbox 360 sales could be as high as 20K.

What do you guys think?

Did the PSP Go see a sales boost in Japan by being bundled with a free MH game? I think not. So, to answer your sales boost question - could be, everything is possible, but based on the PSP Go precedent, I would generally say no (some sort of boost yes, big boost no).

It's also the week the S is debuting I think.  Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if 360 outsold PS3 and Wii for the week.

I also think MHFO could be big, at least relatively.  C'mon 200k-plus!

Yes if I'm correct Monster hunter fronteir came before the franchise explosion and was on PC which if I'm correct that PC is really that popular for games over there

Well if the S is coming out at the same time then I take back what I said, there should be a pretty big boost, but more because of there being new hardware.

Well the PSP already had Monster Hunter games when bundles came out. This is going to be the first Monster Hunter game on the 360. However, this being a port of a PC game is keeping my expectation for overall sales low.
