Diablo III takes my attention on that list.

I'd go to hell and back for that game (pun intended).

Hehe, I can't even guess at how many hours I've spent with Diablo 1 and 2, so I'm also very anxious to get my hands on this title!

Maybe production/development will speed up now that Blizzard is part of the biggest gaming house in the world (almost)?

Well Starcraft II is the biggest game of those you mention and it's granted that it will be good. The replay value of the first one was amezing

Think twice before helping a friend in need.

DO NOT FORGET LEFT 4 DEAD!

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Also, there's no Half Life 3 in production...these 3 episodes are basically Half Life 3...instead of waiting from 2004 to 2009/10 for one larger game, we have 3 smaller games...which I'm cool with, as they rock.

Also, LEFT 4 DEAD.

Any other Freespace fans in here other than myself? I'm kind of wishing that the makers of Freespace 1 and 2 get a chance to make another one. I just hope that it's good and especially that the next game doesn't go to developers who can't do it.

Freespace? As in, Descent: Freespace, the space simulator that had nothing to do with Descent? I played that demo ages ago, it was sweet.

That's the one, the source code has been available to the public for years and there have been some pretty sweet user made enhancements. I had the demo for the first one too, but I think it's pretty crappy compared to the second one. The second one is SO much more in-depth with the story, weapons and such.

I've had that link in my browser for a long time now and I don't remember exactly, but that should be the way to get it if anybody wants to play Freespace 1 or 2 so poke around there if you're interested.

Descent? That's a name you don't hear often nowadays!
Those type of games are getting the short stick since those godawful and tedious Flight Sims became popular...

You forgot Fallout 3.

The reports on Fallout 3 are so varying, so I haven't made up my mind about that yet. Seems Bethesda will rely heavily on Oblivon type interfaces and gameplay, so it could be an issue as I was notvery fond of the TES IV interface(s).
