Already, how long did it take ya?

20-something hours, but I left a big number of sidequests undone. It's about like KotOR... and seems more replayable.

Yeah I have done a few side quests, but not all of em, I usually don't like doing side quests unless the side stories are good (ala oblivion....don't kill me morrowind fans).

But some of the side missions in ME are interesting.

So what are you playing as now?

Th sidequests tend to be pretty good.

Prepare to play possibly the greatest trilogy in gaming.....I seriously cant wait for ME3

I should really give it a go again, I got up to the part were I'm accepted into the council and had to just put it down because of how bad the gameplay was and how boring it got. I want to like it though, it has to have something that'll appeal to me if everyone else loves it.

Excellent purchase, Mass Effect is one of my absolute favorite games this gen, as soon as I finish Alan Wake I plan on doing another continuous playthrough of 1 and 2...

Just talking about Mass Effect gives me the chills from having to do planet scans for precious minerals. Mass Effect 1 has a much more enjoyable process of driving to and mining the minerals. Mass Effect 2 planet scanning is atrocious.

As for ME1 vs. ME2, the story of ME1 contains a much more satisfying antagonist in Saren. However, ME2 beats it in everything else from removing the tedious micromanagement, streamlining the combat, and equalizing the classes so that every class has a good chance on Insane and not just Adepts, Soldiers, and Infiltrators as was the case in ME1.

If you are playing ME1 as an Adept, don't get used to it because you are in for a disappointment come ME2 where your spells are no longer instant cast and able to target enemies behind cover. In Mass Effect 2, if you throw out a singularity and an enemy ducks, then it won't hit.
