Black Lagoon is pretty crazy stuff. Then we have Gungrave that takes place in an alternative world, similar to ours. You should watch at least a few episodes before you drop them. :P

WTF bro, how are you listing it with that other shit. You're going to have to explain that to me before I go any further. |
Have you watched Kaiji? If so please don't belittle it!

I've actually only seen like 3 episodes of coyote ragtime, so I can't comment on how good they are, but there were some cool ideas they were using. They might not have fulfilled their potential though.
Mononoke is amazing though.

Do you any animes (Apart from Monster) that has a mature outlook on animes like Detective Conan, or a anime which involves an detective.
Would Lupin the 3rd be a good watch?

I don't know what you mean by mature though.

I saw a bit of Mononoke, but thought it had the tendency to grow formulaic. Is that not the case?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
Of what you listed the most similiar that comes to my mind that hasn't been mentioned are Blood and Vampire Knight
Blood : (taken from wiki)
Under the care of her adoptive family, Saya Otonashi has been living the life of an anemic and amnesiac, but otherwise ordinary schoolgirl. Saya’s happy life is shattered when she is attacked by a chiropteran, learning that she is the only one who can defeat them.
Armed with her katana, Saya embarks on a journey with her family, allies, and her chevalier, Hagi, to rid the world of chiropteran and rediscover her identity.
Vampire Knight:
Basicly it's about a school with a night class ( for vampires) and a day class (humans) although the story is more complex than that of course.
Both were pretty good imo. Blood somehow reminds me of FMA.. might just be me though.
Btw, the awesome ost of Eureka 7 makes it win :p
