Why should I care about their budgets? If I get the same amount of fun, it's worth the same to me. If the game is not giving me what I want, it's overpriced to me regardless of development budget.

Here in Norway, a PS3, 360 or Wii typically costs between 450 and 550 NOK with few variations.
As for the budget part; in hindsight I realize that this is a less valid point since movies also cost the same regardless of budget... My bad!
Still, I wish we would get better prices here, I saw the same trends in Sweden and Denmark this summer as well.
Console prices here are roughly;
Playstation 3: 3995 NOK (40 gig, cheapest).
X-box 360 Arcade: 2295 NOK
Nintendo Wii: 2295 NOK

In case anyone wonders; one US dollar is approx 5.50 NOK right now as far as I know.

PS: A PS2 bundle still costs around 1295 NOK here...

The PS3 chepest I could find was on 3399 NOK, and I have seen Wii games for 650 NOK and PS3 games 700 NOK. But right now there is a price war between PS3 and Xbox360 here in Norway, and it all depends on which store you visit.

It's called nintendo bergsala, which somehow manage to get the nintendo price up. I mean they even introduced the Wii at a price similar to the premium here in sweden (only 300 SEK)

In pure numbers, consoles were approx the same price in Sweden as I recall from the summer, but the SEK is weaker than the NOK, which makes it cheaper for me to cross the border and get on there.
In Denmark, its the other way around.

wii games are a minimum $10 cheaper then 360/ps3 games and often times cheaper by a greater margin. that's part of what i like about the wii. xD
