Around the Network

Port = Same exact game different platform or same exact game with little added bonus features

Remake = compeletly new game and new graphic engine while retaining the storyline and sometimes the same gameplay

I live for the burn...and the sting of pleasure...
I live for the sword, the steel, and the gun...

Well to me it's this:

Port

Remake:

It's mostly a presentation change, but not always for the best.

Haha, I just wanted to use Chrono Trigger and FF IV as examples

"And yet, I've realized that maybe living a "decent" life means you won't ever have a "good" life."

Remake = good

Port = bad

Thanks, I think i get it now....

I think there should also be distinctions between remakes and "reimaginings" or whatever.  Games like Silent Hill: Shattered Memories or Metroid: Zero Mission, where the "remake" is so complex that it's basically a new game more or less.
