The recoil doesnt seem that bad judging from that video tbh...

I only played the SP so I wouldnt know how the MP is but for some reason, I dont feel worried. I think GG will surprise ya'll people who feel its unbalanced ;0.

@CGI:

To a degree.  Basic movement(walking, running, reloading) still has a certain heft to it, but movement speed and animations in general have been sped up a bit.  Going into ironsites highlights the biggest change.  You bring up your scope quicker, and the scope both sways considerably less while turning and jumps around less when firing.  This leads to significantly decreased bullet spread for most weapons vs Killzone 2, which - combined with slightly lower player health - leads to much quicker deaths in KZ3 vs KZ2.

There's also a bit more aim assist in the game, which makes aiming when ADS even easier.

The controls are pretty good on the whole.  They just need to do something about the overpowered SMG and LMG.  They're still similar to KZ2's controls in many respects, it's just that the biggest change is in ADS, which is what you'll spend most of your time doing.

You really just have to play it to understand.  And even then if you haven't played KZ2 recently, it's hard to really compare the two.

Ah, you played SP.  That could explain it.

In KZ2, the SP controls had a bit more of that weight to them than the MP controls.  It could be the same for KZ3, in which case the SP controls might be more similar to KZ2's MP controls than KZ3's MP controls are.

I think the biggest fear a lot of us have (especially over on gaf, where people are already writing the game off, declaring they won't buy it) is that the Killzone 2 beta was incredibly far along when it was released.  It was excellently balanced, had few glitches or other issues, and all around just played great.  There were almost no major tweaks from beta to release, aside from GUI stuff, as none were needed.

In fact, the only notable change I can remember actually made the game worse.  They turned friendly fire off by default (vs on in the beta) to appease all the people that can't aim.  This lead to rocket spamming, which lead to people banning the assault class, which lead to overpowered turrets/bots given there was no longer an effective counter.  One small change altered the balance of the game considerably.

Killzone 3 just seems so incredibly rough compared to the KZ2 beta, and I think people are scared this is how the game will end up being when it launches in a few months.

KZ3 shits on KZ2 visually. It's amazing what GG is doing.

I believe multiplayer will turn out excellent, barring the one essentially unfixable problem - map design.

I have no worries at all about singleplayer.  I've long been convinced it will be much improved over Killzone 2, ala Uncharted > Uncharted 2.

eh fuck, can't play it until march, but is still going to preorder next month.

Just to share my two cents.

I'ts the the best beta ever.

Not once have I encountered the dreaded thing call LAG. Yep. I have not experience 1 SINGLE BIT OF LAG during my entire playtime of the Beta.

That's amazing and because of that, I've been able to enjoy the beta a lot and have a blast with it. Seriously even though it's a beta, Killzone 3 is probably the most hardcore team based shooter. Wanna be a the lone wolf and not work with squads? Fine. Go play something else. Killzone 3's Class system rocks and it really promotes Team Squad Play. I noticed this during the wins and losses. If everyone scattered about, my team lost and if we stuck together and helped each other, we shat on the other team.

It makes a difference.

Do you like it more than Killzone 2? How different is the gameplay from KZ2?
