Forums - Microsoft - I dunno about you, but I think Kevin Butler is right.

No, I think that's just his mannerism. When he presented E3 09, he held himself in the same way. He seems to come across as nervous or awkward but really isn;t I don't think.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

First time I saw him i thought MS had hired Tom Cruise For God sake. Looks like his freeken clone or something.

Skaired the living crap out of me.

On top of all that his awkardness is the same as the one of Tom Cruise on Oprah's couch!!!

Freeky

well I agree, but microsoft certainly doesn't

There was something awkward about the microsoft guy in the first video.  I can't put my finger on it.  When he said he wasn't nervous, he seemed pretty nervous.  It was probably E3.

this video of the MS guy is amazing. Such a douche! Lol :D

ofcoz you need buttons. you want to pretend your hand is a gun? sony got both ms and nintendo nervous it seems. judging from fan reaction in here i think i'm right lol.

Preorders for Kinect seem to be doing very well...are they accepting preorders yet for Move? Maybe we can get some sort of comaprison

Yeah they are, look further down in the chart, maybe the second page if they have one.

I don't think I can really play games without anything to hold or pressing a button. I would feel like an idiot pretending to turn the wheel of a nonexistent thing in my hand. I feel like it would be, as Kevin Butler said, like third grade *pew pew pew*.

This isn't meant to bash Kinect in any way. I think it will be a great success. But I personally can't bring myself to wave my hands and feet around in pretend space. I would feel kinda stupid doing it.

Do you really need something in your hand to enjoy the experience?  Just grab a couple 1 lb weights and wave those around in your hands while using Kinect.  They are the same experiences (swinging arms around and turning a pretend steering wheel, etc) just one makes you hold something and one doesn't.

Regardless, it doesn't matter as you are not the target audience for Kinect anyways.  Not even the Wii's casuals are the audience.  Kinect is for the millions of people that don't even play on a Wii because the controller is still a barrier to them.  Not to mention this will really make media enthusiasts happy.

kinnect has great potential. I think kinnect is the first step to the future of gaming. kinnect is something you would only see in movies, now it's becoming a reality. I honestly have high hopes for the thing.

hmmm. here is a scenario. lets say i have kinect right? i'm watching a movie or a sports game and i can control the volume or even turn the system on or off with just a wave of my hand. anyone in the room can mess with it, i can imagine my gf messing around and turning off my system or lowering the volume. I think kinect is a bad idea!

Same can be done now with this thing called a remote or the actual buttons on the TV.  I'm gonna file this under "not an issue."  Either that or you need some new friends/a new gf!
