Forums - Sony - Will you be staying with dual analog for FPS games?

I can't imagine KZ2 without dual analogue to be honest... It just feels RIGHT, for me. I'm still gonna try KZ3 with move, but I doubt I'll use that much online. For SOCOM, I don't know.

The video was impressive,  but he has probably spent numerous hours playing that game and memorizing the movements.  So its more a testament to his patience in learning the game then anything.

But anyways, I will stick with Dual Analog,  as I believe it is still the superior control choice for FPS games.  Even on PC games I use my 360 controller when the game allows.

Sorry, even though I like Dual analog for FPS. I prefer mouse keyboard or Wii-remote nunchuk or Move.

I prefer the Wii pointer.  Not to say I can't use dual analog - I'm currently playing (and loving) the Perfect Dark remake on my 360, but the Wii pointer feels much more natural and I enjoy it more.  The upcoming Transformers game has me divided:  do I go with the slick graphics of the 360 or PS3 version, or go with the Wii version to use the pointer?  I'm hoping the Wii version isn't a crappy port..

I haven't played RE5 yet because I'm holding out for the Move-updated rerelease.

Doubt it, If I get Move is if I get a good deal on it or get a GS gift card as I won't down right go and pay 50 -100 dollars for Move. If Move were to make FPS games more fun for me than regular dual analog, then I may adopt it completely.

I just hope most of the shooters on the PS3 from now on support Move. Dual Analog is what keeps me from a lot of the library found on the HD Consoles.

I abandoned Dual Analog for FPSs long, long ago.  Mouse Keyboard for srs biz and Wiimote Nunchuck for fun.

HELLLLLLLLLL YES!  I was waiting for 4 years for PS3 to get motion controls.  If anyone took CoD MWR on the wii serious and tweet their controls to perfection knows that pointer controls is better than analog.  I can't wait to fight with the PSmove against analog players.

Hell yeah I love the dual analogs.

KZ2 was designed for the majority of shooting to be hip fired.

Therefore your problem is with the game mainly, and not controls.

And good analog stick player will beat a motion control player all day long on Killzone- because motion controls would be way too precise for the hip fire shooting and KZ2 requires a lot of good strafing, which I believe is better on a remote.

You are kidding right? unless by "too precise" you mean that pointer controls get far less aim assist.

And what do you mean by strafing? because as far as I know strafing is walking sideways rather than turning.... which for pointer controls uses the control stick exactly the same as for old controllers.

By precise I mean sensitivity really, how fast the crosshairs move across the screen.

Strafing in KZ2 consists of basically moving but shooting at a certain point, or points at the same time. Since motion controls are more sensitive and erratic, it's gona be harder to keep shooting at the target while moving.

I highly doubt they'd do that for KZ3, which is supposed to be the new hotness, I foresee them going for something more CoDish.
