The one that really drives me batshit is of/have. How the fuck do you even make that mistake? It's unsettlingly common, though.

I can understand how pepole that english isn't their language can make these mistakes, but some pepole aren't British/Canadian/American/Australian.

I assumed we were talking about people whose first language is English. Naturally, I'll give English as a second (or third, fourth, whatever) language folks some slack!

Who cares!!!!!!!!! I can't believe people are really bothered buy such small things. I'm not an English major. I make those mistakes all the time,so what!!!!!!!!!!!

effect/affect is my big one, but less/fewer is also annoying.

For the latter:

If the noun it is quantifying has many discrete objects that can be counted (e.g. cups, consoles, days) then use fewer

"Fewer consoles were sold..."

Whereas if the noun is collective and can't be counted (e.g. money, time, disk space)

"Less time was needed..."

Sometimes it can impede or prevent your meaning getting across. Sentences should be clear enough to understand on the first read-through.

'Who cares' and 'so what' need question marks.
You shouldn't use so many exclamation marks.
'by' should be used instead of 'buy'
Maybe a semicolon between "I'm not an English major" and "I make those mistakes"? To show the sentences are linked?

Man,so many English teacher's on a video game forum. lol

Could care less/Couldn't care less is another one :D

Could care less suggests you still have some interest regarding the matter at hand and there is a possiblilty it can go lower.

Couldn't care less shows that as things stand, you are at the bottom of your level of interest i.e your interest in the matter is non-existence...like some people regarding this thread for instance :D

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.
