I don't know how its even allowed to say what you people are saying "Discontinue it, it sucks, its dead, kill it already" ..honestly? THE 360 is barely selling more than the PSP.. and its install base is 20 million units behind the PSP.. why don't you guys go there and talk crap about the 360? Oh wait microsoft is pushing it with kinect! Well sony is pushing the PSP with the ad campaign..

None of you even own a psp why are you posting in this thread to begin with to say its over, it should be discontinued?

You don't know how it's allowed? Does that mean you think negative opinions, statements or beliefs about the PSP should be banned?

does that mean saying a platform should die and be discontinued should be allowed?

If it's done in a neutral, objective capacity that is based on dwindling sales and rational observations, then, uh, yes.

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

Too late for an ad campaign... I mean everyone is talking about the 3DS.. who isn't gonna save money for that.. The psp looks obsolete (see... I didn't say sucks, dying or failure...) compared to the 3DS.. smart kids aren't gonna buy something expensive that will be obsolete within a year...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Welll now that a little boy named Marcus is telling me to get a PSP, I must buy one!!!1

Final year of the PSP... next year either we will see a PSP2 or the PSP brand will be left 4 dead And no, Im not talking about a port

This is why your my favorite psp fan! You are more realistic than most. Also seriously just because we don't believe it will rebound, we are psp haters.....isn't that fair?

Ugh, you're not listening are you leo ..

a marketing campaign for PSP vs a marketing campaign, new system, possible price cut and motion controller for X360.

Not to mention, Xbox 360 sells a shit ton more SW more than PSP, which is the greatest reason to keep a sytem alive.

You're just ignoring everyone's valid points.

The real reason why Nintendo fans find KB annoying is that he made fun of the wii in that one video...how can someone possibly hate on that guy ?

No. The shots at the competition were long after I was tired of this fool (which makes it even worse, of course).

He always acts like a douche, whether it's something like this, or trolling the competition (see the Move one). All the while not being funny, but looking more bitter than anything.

... When I think about it, his act reminds me of Stephen Colbert. I'm not exactly a fan of that guy, either.

In general, I also don't like when companies attack the competition - If they're going to do it, it better be damn funny. From what I've seen, neither Nintendo nor MS do this, while Sony does, and it isn't doing me any favors for warming up to their games.

Exactly. Plus besides all that, he seems so...contrived? I feel like I'm just watching the end result of a bunch of marketing executives sitting around, scheming, thinking, "Okay. We need somebody who's funny. Universal. Edgy. Smarmy. Disparaging of the competition..."

And so on. He's annoying, douchey, doesn't say anything particularly funny, and the ads are just way too self-satisfied and inauthentic.

finallys someone else that feels the way I do about the KB adds. I could'nt have said it any better myself.

I think c2pid people should discontinue posting on this thread. there i said it, it is an opinion and i have the right to express it. If you don't like it you can suck on a pickle.

back on topic.

I think the ads are right on, nobody really knows the full benefits of owning a psp and I think this push for ads is the right thing. its about time they're doing it. (gaming update) been playing my copy of MGS peace walker and it is simply amazing. I cant put my psp down till I finish it. brb!

I'll be honest myself- as a PSP owner, I think the system is about dead in the Americas. Hardware sales are on par with the PS2, and software sales are in the basement. I personally do find this kid more annoying than KB (who I also usually find annoying, mind you), and I think that a new ad campaign for the PSP now is too little, too late. Many publishers have already walked away from the PSP, which will continue the downward sales spiral.

I've done my part in trying to help the system- I have 32 games for the thing. But I do think it's dying, and nothing can save it at this point. Will I get a PSP2? Maybe, it'll depend on who announces games for the thing.

I think you're forgetting Final Fantasy XIII agito, Valkria Chronicles II, and some other Square Enix game coming. Don't lose faith just yet lol. oh and a yakuza game.. i think these ads will help as a matter of fact.

Why they haven't lowered the price and focused on high quality low cost games in their advertisements is beyond me.

Too late Sony.

how come it wasn't too late for the ps3

The PS3 needed a price drop

The PSP needs to be put to sleep. It feels outdated. With everything being touchscreened ,  it feels weird using a PSP. It's over, I know it, the media knows, yet Sony doesnt see it.

I use my psp A LOT so no its not outdated, still the most powerfull handheld out there

3DS and (even if you deny that, which you will) Iphone say hi.

Hey, I still use my NES. And my PS1. But they're outdated.

The PSP has, I think, maybe another solid year, year and a half in it, if that. Then it's new system time.

3DS and Iphone are not as powerfull as the psp in the gaming section...I'm talking about PURE power, got it? How can you deny that? its just facts... I'm not talking about the games, because, there are for shure not enough cool games out there, hell I'm not even defending the PSP because I dont like that most of the games are just PS3 ripoffs with less graphics, I dont like that, but still there are a lot other titles that are awesome and the possibillitys are huge, ps1 games on the go? go ahead, and they look beautifull.

and just for you, I have both DS and psp and I love both platforms.

Now with the 3ds nintendo is going the same path by adding n64 games, wich I find Awesome! but still, the psp is the most powerfull handheld. done
