knowing Capcom, they would just port MHP3 to 3DS for some guaranteed quick cash after MHP3 is out.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Capcom is smart enough to anounce it after the launch of MHP3 just to not kill the hype for this game. After all, how many preorders does it have even without a launch date?
