I'm glad that the reps of each console enjoyed their respective company's shows. I do think a couple statements were a little hard to take, like saying Microsoft's conference had no awkward moments. For me the Kineticmals showing was awkward, mostly because I was afraid of what kind of derogatory gifs of the little girl demonstrating it would show up online. I also did not like the Kevin Butler speach, his commercials have been funny but an entire speach trying to convince Sony fans that they should embrace the expanded audience gamers seemed very forced and awkward to me and  was not very entertaining. I agree that the onstage Zelda demo was a dissapointment especialy with so much anticipation, the controls weren't working but even if they were they weren't realy showing interesting aspects of the game.

i thought his speech was very hypocritical.  heck seems half his commercials since he started were all about how bascially "we are hardcore" and subtly bashing the wii

now that they are doing motion he comes out and tries to make peace? and like he is taking the high ground?

My sentiments exactly.

Personally, there  is no way I can imagine anyone not acknowledging that Microsoft's was the worst by far. In my opinion, E3 is all about surprises, and good new content. We already knew what was coming from Microsoft almost game for game. Sony, a little less so, and the Nintendo a little less than that.

Hatfield....what a tool haha

You mean like this one?

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000

MS sucked in my opinion. They had some good stuff like Gears 3 and Reach but they spent over an hour on Kinect.

Sony was pretty good with lots of game announcements/news and Kevin Butler!

I'm not a Nintendo fan but they did well with 3DS and Zelda.

I'd say Sony won but I am somewhat biased towards them.

Updated the OP with the US teams discussion of the E3 "winner"

I actually cannot believe that someone thought Nintendo's conference was weaker than Microsoft

"We got our hands on all the games and all the booth babes..."

Always knew the man was delusional.

This literally made me cry laughing I swear to God.

Oh man...I saw that Shawn Michaels moment during a wrestling blooper vid on Youtube, but putting it in this context makes it absolutely hilarious.

When I saw it the first time that was my reaction as well, it was simply amazing, wrestling fans get this better than anyone and it's freaking hilarious.

Basically from the US video i got

Nintendo guy = Nintendo

Microsoft guy = Nintendo showed more surprises but the 3rd party games appealed to me more

Sony guy = Sony

And people are bashing the MS guy?!

Personally i think he is right. Nintendo came out with new games to their franchises, but none of them were like "holy shit that is the best thing i have ever seen!". In fact a few of them dissapointed as they mention i.e Zelda.

The same goes for MS. They showed some good demos of their games i.e the FIRST showing of MG Rising. If that game was a Sony exclusive and was shown at the Sony conference people would be declaring Sony the winner.

What the guy is saying is that if you look at the conferences as a whole they all had great parts and all had bad parts. How do you determine what was good and what was bad? That is simply a matter of opinion. Like the Kinect animals thing. We as hardcore gamers will look at that and think "er what the hell", few of us will buy it. But there are millions of people watching who are not hardcore gamers, they might be kids, and chances are they will like that. Why should we only judge the show based on 18 things? You don't instantly turn off a film i.e Shrek because it's main audience is for kids? The point is if we want to bash any of the conferences you will find something to dislike.

But in terms of games shown Nintendo showed the most brand new ones. They revealed more things and that is what he was saying. Neither Sony nor MS showed enough new un-announced things.
