what are you talking about?

1st theres no more arcade and elites there all gettin discontinued they have already been dropped by $50 in EU they dont use dollars but the last prices were around SuperElite £259€369,  Elite£199€269,  Arcade £159€199 dont know how they priced them now that the new 360S is releasing 7/16

2nd 360 is out of sku with there prices in EU look at wii and ps3 cost 200 and 300 dollars, in EU there priced at £249 €299  and £179 €199 but the Elite 120gb 360 that was $299 in USA is not priced the same £249 €299 that the ps3 is its priced at a cheaper £199€269even though thte prices are the same in USA

3rd the 360 has been cheaper then the ps3 skus for quite some time in EU when going dollar vs eu or pound 360S is gettin a price of £199€269 and i believe the cheaper 360S that will come out soon will priced at £159€199 PS3 should continue to dominate 360S in EU as it has been doing for well over a year with those same prices

the 360 might be able to edge it out  for a week or two in EU probably just when the 360S releases 7/16

Yeah, the new X360 Arcade will be $199. That was pretty much confirmed.

 

Anyways... I have no idea why, but YoY numbers are starting to become pretty abyssal -

DS down 102k

Wii down 17k

PS3 up 3k

PSP down 30k

X360 down 12k

Overall the market is 40% down from last year.

360 Elite has always been cheaper here. Right now 360 Elite   2 games is around $500 and 120Gig PS3 1 game is $570ish.

I expect 250Gig 360 slim to be at the same price as the current Elite. I wonder if they'll drop the price for the holiday season.

You really think the $50 price cut is going to triple weekly sales?  I expect them to go up but damn, I don't think you're gonna see that kind of increase.

Yea, someone's setting themselves up for disappointment.  I hope people aren't going to get all flustered if the 360 ties with PS3 next week or just barely passes it WW.

Well the generation is getting older.

it may be getting older but also everyone who wants a 360 or ps3 has one. so the only way to get more people interested are price cuts and the addition of move and kinect which will bring a new audience to both systems.
