kinda playing it atm, check the sig.... hehe...

Played it myself a few days ago, pretty sweet JRPG, hopefully localization info comes soon, the west NEEDS this game if for no other reason because JRPGs have sucked so hard it'd be nice to have one that doesn't and from what I understand of the story and know about the gameplay this one would just rock peoples socks.

Looks like exactly what my gaming life is missing, and has been missing for a few years now. Will be buying a Wii the day this releases in the US. Love the simple easy-to-look-at menus, which have a very Nintendo feel. The battle system doesn't look too exciting -- I'd prefer something that really gets your attention AND has depth like Grandia, but JRPG fans can't be choosers at this point, and in terms of the overall experience... man, it looks great.
Seems pretty nice so far watching you play. If they don't announce the U.S release by the end of this summer I might import it along with Tales of Graces(although I'm hoping for a fan translation for Graces).
watched a live stream earlier this week, it was awesome, i really hope it gets localised.

Playing this as well. The music and scope of this game is phenomenal.

Is this game missing one, the other, or both? Cause I'd say it definitely has both, the battles are pretty speedy and engaging, if you don't plan out what you're gonna do when fighting harder enemies you'll die pretty fast, there's a lot of management to do as well, while still keeping things pretty intuitive (as I'm playing it without knowing a bit of Japanese)

I'm being pretty picky when I say that. It doesn't look as tight to me as most really memorable JRPG combat systems. It's obviously much more like an MMO, and like most recent JRPGs, you control one character. Running around with one character often feels like playing an action game where your button presses interact with menus instead of directly controlling your avatar. What I love about lots of older JRPGs, generally ones with full party control, is that they feel like steamlined strategy games where your menu selections feel surprisingly action-y (visceral might be a better word) -- almost the reverse of the combat gameplay in this newer stuff. That said, I've only seen a few early battles in Xenoblade, so maybe higher levels make it feel even more like an action game., which I think is the best direction to go in for a combat system like this.
Anyway, hope that makes sense.
