3DS and Kirby impressions, please! Wow, everything else you've played is lame. Did you just go to the stuff with the shortest lines? :P

Around the Network

Everyone single wii and DS game you listed... lol You are probably better off just posting a huge post with a little about each one if you have the time. as in all systems and games.  Also, im surprised you have not played Donkey Kong Country Returns or can you?

Super Meat Boy, how is it?

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

You are going to get a lot of 3DS questions....... I'm just going to ask how the RE and MGS 3DS demos looked. Tell me about them please.

I guess he hasn't been to any other booths than the nintendo and microsoft booth.

Try to get into the GT5 headtracking 3D/MOTION thing and give us an impression on it

but out of those, the obvious, how good is the 3D in the 3DS in comparison to 3D in the theatres and what not

I'll give you guys an update fairly soon. Alot of my time has been spent at parties / lines / meetings.

I'm mostly checking out stuff I want to play or stuff I think will perform well.

Checked out these the final day too:

Move Party / Sorcery /  Donkey Kong Country: Returns / Lost in Shadow / Tiger Woods (PS3/Wii)

Impressions (20 words or less)

3DS:

Pilotwings Resort - Very easy to pick up and play. Camera is very easy to adjust. Graphics look like GC with a couple more modern effects. 3D seems to aid the gameplay already.

Kid Icarus / Animal Crossing - Demos looked impressive. Not sure how they control (only saw a demo, didn't get to play).

Samurai Warriors - Took me a bit to learn the controls, but it does play well and the 3D makes the combat feel more complex than it would otherwise.

3DS Playing 3D Movies -  The 3D effect doesn't look quite as good as the games for some reason, at least to me, but make no mistake, it works, and its kind of freaky that its so good.

Wii:

NBA Jam - My game of the show. Destroyed DKII and Stickball. EA has nailed this - I hope it performs as well as they want it to.

Kirby - Lots of fun. Would have liked to see another level. Turning into vehicles is seemless. Art style is constantly surprising and beautiful.

DKC: Returns - I sucked at the original SNES games, and suck at this one. Co-op is a blast though.

Sonic Colors - Probably the best 3D Sonic I've ever played. Feels inspired by Galaxy in a good way.

Lost in Shadow - Very interesting feel, takes some time to get used to it. Loads of fun. Had tons of levels on display

Flingsmash - Fun, needed more time to learn the controls. Probably should have been WiiWare.

Wii Party - Fun enough to sell 8 million copies. Lots of craziness, doesn't quite feel like Mario Party. Might rent it.

Pro Batting - My reactions must be slowing with age - this game kicked my ass repeatedly.

Epic Mickey - Watched it being played for an hour. Didn't get to try it. Art and mechanics are amazing.

Indie/Multiplatform Stuff:

Tiger Woods (PS3 / Wii) - Prefer the Wii version, as the PS3 version is a bit closer to real golf. I suck at real golf.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (Iphone, WW, XBLA, PSN) - Not as fast as Sonic Colors. Feels a bit sterile, but still alot of fun. Good to see Sega pimping downloadable games.

Super Meat Boy (XBLA / WW) - Very difficult and loads of fun. A little floaty, but nothing to ruin the platforming experience. Saw Karl play it Wednesday and then tried it myself on Thursday for an hour or so.

PS3:

Sorcery - Probably the best game for Move. Shows off the technology well. It isn't perfect, but it is fun and thats going to be enough for alot of people. Will sell to people who want to go to be wizards / magicians.

Move Party - Its alright. Not something I would buy, as I burned out on party games with the Wii-mote back in 2007, but it will probably be fun for people experiencing Motion for the first time.

X360:

Fable 3 / Naruto - Didn't get to play either. Saw both with Nick and Karl - mechanics and gameplay look very interesting and should please fans of their predecessors.

Kinect Dancing Games - Almost every dancing game for Kinect looks amazing. IGN and Kotaku do seem to be right - you always are asked to stand, and even confirming a menu option often requires raising your right hand, while cancelling uses your left hand. All Kinect centers were sealed off and furniture free. Will be interesting to see how full body movement translates into crowded living rooms, as even Wii only requires hand motions for most titles.

Sonic Riders - Lots of jumping. Probably too much for my living room, but if you had a clear room it could be alot of fun.

General Impressions:

As far as lines go, most of the time you would say it went like this:

3DS > Kinect > Epic Mickey / Move > NBA Jam / Halo / Gears  > Everything else

Most of the major dancing games had waiting lines that were far more populated with women than the rest of the titles on the show floor. Given that Just Dance 2 and Dance Central both look impressive, Nintendo and Microsoft both look like they'll be trying to cash in on the genre this year.

DS / PSP still had alot of content at E3, but ofen times displays for both systems were sparsely crowded or completely empty. The "newness" factor for both systems has definitely gone out the window even with major titles still coming from Nintendo / Sony and third parties.

didn't try Zelda?

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

No, it won't be out for a year or so. Didn't see the point really.
