Forums - Sony - Gamespot: Closed doors GT5 presentation, "Blew me away"

To any VGC STAFF AT E3 please go to sony's booth closed doors, and play the GT5 demonstration, and give us some insight..

On topic:

Gamespot had a chance to see GT5 behind closed doors and they played the game in full fledged 3D, with HEAD TRACKING.

"It was breathtaking, I moved my head and it's like I was inside of the car, I would look to the left and it would look to the left inside of the cookpit and the car itself, I could even look through the car window, completely rendered photorealisticly, I wasn't looking foward to GT5 because it was taking so long.. but after seeing what I saw, I am blown away"

more info on gamspot later, but it seems GT5 is dropping some jaws behind closed doors.. As sony combines "MOVE/3D/PS EYE HEAD TRACKING/HD PHOTOREALISTIC GRAPHICS" to deliver a breathtaking experience with GRAN TURISMO 5.

It's nice to see that GT5 is getting amazing previews from major gaming outlets. First was Eurogamer's, then CVG and now Gamespot.

Looks like KY search for perfection will pay off, and us gamers and GT fans alike will be the ones profiting from his exhaustive work on GT5

What's personal lubricant go to do with it? Or do you think it will cause some people to react in a certain way?

You kinda lost me there, nothing that a quick google search wouldn't resolve

I don't know about the reactions. Eurogamer's preview has already stirred up quite a few negative ones (although there was nothing negative in that article ).

It's bound to happen. It's GT5, the game that has been on the making for almost half a decade. People who want to hate on it will find the most ridiculous things to put it down. It's like this for every game out there that suffers the same fate. Oh well, i'm just glad these great impressions are coming out.

Hope to see more from GT5 in the next few days

so do I, but I wish it was possible to see footage in 3D or something, I want to see how it is to see a PS3 game in 3D sigh..

That would be virtually impossible, unless the streaming was on 3D and you had a 3D prepared GFX card on your PC. I would love to see the new 3D capacities from consoles. From what it was said in E3, both PS3 and 3DS 3D looked amazing.

lmaoo.. i thought the exact same thing.

OT that does sound impressive. Didn't care about 3D...until now lol

like leo-j said, it would be nice to get my own impressions of it as I can't and won't invest in a 3d tv

seeing 3D footage would be easily possible if they made anaglyph versions of the videos - of course that's not 100% like stereoscopic 3D and they probably don't do it to not associate the cyan/red paper glasses with their vision of 3D, but still this would give us a better look at what to expect

Anaglyphs wouldn't be a good idea due to the reasons you already mentioned.

But they could and should post screenshots in JPS format so people were free to view the images in 3D however they like - be it cross-eyed view, shutter glasses, anaglyph glasses or whatever they prefer.

Wow sounds amazing!

Just a few months to go!
