I said Killzone was infamous for mediocrity, not Uncharted. Is Uncharted a sequel? Is this thread about Uncharted 2? No, it's about Killzone 2.

You need some help understanding this.

He said he dislikes Halo because of the fanboys. Now, there are plenty of perfectly good reasons to dislike Halo, but hating it because of fanboys is just stupid. In fact, hating anything because some of the people who like it annoy you is immeasurably stupid.

 Hmm, that's a hard one. Why in the world would anyone question Killzone 2 when games by Epic (the makers of Unreal), Irrational (makers of System Shock 1 and 2) and Bungie (Halo series, Marathon, Myth) have delivered? After all, if those 3 developers with their creme de la creme track record can deliver, why couldn't Guerilla, with their FINE track record of Nam' 67 and Killzone 1, deliver?

In case the sarcasm was missed, you're comparing companies known for some of the best offerings in their genre against one whose track record runs from shitty to average at best. Why won't Killzone 2 deliver? Because the developers previous games have sucked, and all the money and pretty graphics hasn't changed the fact that most ppl think their games have not been that fun to play. 

I believe killzone is a "killer ap" for several reasons :D

1.) It's looking to be a tech project from SONY, that alone is great in the sense that you WILL be able to "show off"

2.) There attempting to blend 3rd person elements in a FPS, I don't remember the last time I've seen that in an FPS.

3.) The game's style, I REALLY like it, its got that blur between reality/scifi and the lighting is INCREDIBLE. It's got a very unique style to it IMO.

4.) Killzone Liberation was friggin awesome :)

5.) Expanding of "teh knowledge", from the looks of it, it seems sony's expanding there development tools and really pushing the hardware with things like streaming textures/audio, full SPE usage, draw distance, polygon count etc  etc. If they really are sharing information with other developers and whatnot then this is a good thing.

6.) The graphics really are incredible, just watching the gameplay vids perform got me immersed. I like what there doing with the hud (or lack therefore of) and the way characters interact with the environment/run/jump/throw grenades etc etc....

7.) A.I. The A.I. in Killzone 1 was actually really friggin awesome. Troops knew what surfaces could be shot through (just recently saw this in COD4), enemy's would retreat when outnumbered and take uber defensive positions using grenades and standard defensive tactics, likewise they would swarm and play far more aggressively when there numbers permitted. I was actually more impressed with Killzones A.I. than I was with Resistance, Halo OR COD4's. Which is kind of sad.

8.) Why not? The game certainly doesn't look bad :) Hell people have hyped much worse looking titles IMO, at least this game 'looks" like it could deliver. I for one could certainly use another awesome game to add to my library ^^

Mind you all of the above are my opinions, so if you want to create some list contradicting what I said don't bother :D I honestly don't see why there's so much negativity in this thread, I mean I suppose it was created in a flame bait attempted effort, but why would so many people that are just "not interested" or "holding there breath" posting here? You guys obviously don't care about this game :P Some of you will play it if it gets good reviews, some of you just wont :D
