Forums - PC - Civilization V: E3 screenshots show interface

It's ok but it is a lot worse than Civ 4's. Why are there bigger buttons in the top right/ Furthermore why write out "Help" and "Menu" and the sme for the "Golden Age," they could al be replaced with icons. Make them like the little buttons so they do not take of my strategizing space. The minimap looks like extreme crap too. Why such a big unit portrait too?

All in all the UI looks very shitty and it takes up way too much space. Far more than it should. It also feels more like that pile of shit Civ Revolustions, than an actual Civ game.

It would be uncontrollable. You have Civ Revolution that you can pick up.

Not keen on the map. Rest of the UI looks ok though.

I've never played Civilization before, but I am going to pick up Civ IV from Steam, so I may still but this game, but as an outsider, those screens do look confusing...

Can take a little while to really get the feel for it but it's a fantastic game when you do. Just be prepared to continually repeat the phrase "1 more turn" to yourself long through the night!
