That's the point. Let's think back to the beginning of HDTVs, they were also too expensive for the mass market, and now... well, they are very cheap. For now I'm more hyped for the 3DS because it probably won't be very expensive, but I also can't wait to get my hands on games like Killzone 3 in 3D (it's just too expensive for me right now...).

3D with glasses is retarded and just absolutely stupid. Annoying, bad for glass wearers, causes headaches, and the list of negatives just keeps on rolling and rolling. Until they make actual, viable 3D, yes, MS is right.

3D on the PC is far less expensive, and it is STILL not worth anywhere near as much as companies ask for. Current 3D = epic fail.

If MS wants to do 3D games they could easily just use the Kinect camera for head tracking and create a 3D effect for the 1 person playing the game without glasses and a special tv being needed. I hope they do this. 3D gaming will not be mainstream for years. Anyone who bought a HD tv recently isn't going to go out and buy another just for 3D. I bought my tv 3 years ago and I'm still not buying one anytime soon.

Microsoft also said that 1080p was unrealistic for consoles, big HDDs weren't necessary, and digital downloads were the future.

No, dtewi is saying that he's bitching that 3D is for the "future" and is dumb now...even though FULL BODY MOTION CONTROL is just as futuristic...yet he's backing the product (well, obviously since he works for Microsoft).
