Honestly, right now Child of Eden looks like the best game for Kinect for me, and that's a downloadable game!

But most of all I'm surprised that MS didn't secure a few "core" games for the launch (I don't really like the the "core" games designation but it should get the point across in this case). |
These Devs have had to work with the wii for quite sometime...going to kinect I feel wasnt too hard for em.
Why shouldnt Msft learn from what wii'ers like and bring it on for em during kinects luanch?
The guys behind Halo mmo said msft has gone to a full ''Casual'' mindset...this E3 proved it....at the end of the day...a bizz needs to make money.....only thing sony did is give a ''Yippee" but not "fug yeah" feeling for folks....
Either way Move and Kinect...sell like hot cakes...wii relaxes with the jaw dropping upcomming line up...milks sales..release wiiOP at next E3 and the war is on once again.
P.S Theres ''Core" like titles...but farther out...not deserving of full E3 time...thats what TGS is for hehehe...Sony's "Core" isnt excatly ready for luanch...thier 1st real core game comes out 2011...spring...9months after move luanch...so ya 8(
It's a funny thing to see so many not understand business. M$ may not have grabbed your attention and showed core games releasing like 2011. ( Like Moves first core game ). But rather catered for the market that will actually by these devices. You think my mum is gonna say, theres only 5 genres to choose from on Launch. LOL.
She will say, I could play that. Lets get that.
CASUALS. Thats where the extra sales are.
As a core gamer I'm happy with the 10 Exclusives M$ has announced so far at E3.

You talk about not understanding business, so let's talk about the business case...
If the leaked prices (from several countries) are right, I don't think the games they showed were good enough for people to buy Kinect for this price.
Especially when the Wii has already conquered the market and minds of those who are only interested in simple games like these. Do you really think people will go ahead and buy another $300 console Kinect bundle just 2 or 3 years after buying a Wii?

Very much so. Kinect doesnt look like a copy. It looks like the next thing. It's a Wii upgrade. Kinect sports for example is body motion. Wii Bowling for instance can be won sat on the sofa. This is impossible with Kinect. Kinect gets 'you' involved by making your entire skeletal structure the controller for each part of the character onscreen.
You need no extra controllers. Instantly 4 player. No addons needed.
A £199 ( $299 ) Kinect 360 250gb bundle with a game will sell out XMAS.
It's my opinion. But Kinect is being viewed by mainstream public as the future. Not a wii copy.
Regardless of what us Hardcore ever think.
If you are going to compare to Wii launch window you need to also include the non-Kinect games releasing this fall as well. We still have a console that is hardcore at its core and with a ton of core titles launching this fall. Wii just happened to launch with the WiiMote, but did all of the Wii launch titles really take advantage of the motion controls?
People keep bringing up the thought that are people that bought a Wii 2-3 years ago going to move to Kinect. That isnt who MS is targetting. Sure some people may purchase a 360 with Kinect, but that isnt the market. The market they are going for are the same people Nintendo is going after to purchase a Wii. They are interested in people that dont have a Wii. People that say hey I can have motion controls and HD core gaming. Negate the competitors advantage.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
