Forums - Website Topics - Separating Europe and "Others"?

I thought of this idea for some time now.

We have European Software charts but no charts for "Others". We have the US as a market and we´ve got Japan - but Europe is still called "Others" on the frontpage and I think we should change it.

If we had separated charts for Europe and "Others" (Australia, Other markets, maybe some Asian markets) we could have a monthly and yearly page for Europe, like we got it for America and Japan. Europe is a big market, I think it should have its own section - by the way, if you click on "Others" and then "Software" it shows the complete European charts, Ioi would just have to give it a different name. We could have a complete Europe section, maybe the worlds first.

What do you think?

This sounds pretty good to me!

thats a good idea

Sounds good :)

I personally think it should stay as "Other" since the European market is only a fraction of the American and Japanese market. With the rest of the other territories it barely gets to our level of spending.

I wouldnt say its a fraction, especially not of the japenese market; Id say Europe and Japan probbaly sell similar numbers in terms of hardware at least.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned for Sega. - Jason Lee, Mallrats.

Well, the PS2 sold 40 million units in Europe, so will the DS and probably Wii. Xbox 360 and PS3 are selling quite well over here, too.

The European market is growing fast and its quite a bit bigger than Japan...

Your idea stinks cuzz by 'OTHERS' they mean lots of European countries like The Netherlands, Belgium, all of Eastern Europe etc...

So then you'd count stuff 2 times cuzz some countries would be in 'OTHERS' and Europe as well... So no, not a smart idea.

THE NETHERLANDS

Uhm...Starcraft... Ioi has a brain, he is able to split "Others" and "Europe" in two portions. We´ve got "Other Europe" which is, well, other European countries like the ones you mentioned.

"Others" has nothing to do with Europe, it covers niche markets as far as I´m concerned.

I´m asking for splitting everything into 4 regions: Americas, Japan, Europe and Others.

I think Europe is big enough to have a section for its own.

Of course, things look different if we will get software sales for Australia, etc.
