That's why the bundle for $99 is a good deal. ($69 $39 = $99 plus free game). If it were $20, why the hell would you buy the bundle? Plus, all retialers sell it for full MSRP or $40. |
just try googling for discounts
i think the bindle price was greatly affected by the KINECT announce bombing and people got uninterested so SONY didn't really need to put out a competitive price
$100....
Oh my goodness.

Sorry solid4rd....but You saying how the casual goes out and buys more wiimotes just proves me correct.
400$ vs 150$ Right there.
I really lol @ you saying kinect bombed.....it's been showcased all over abc news and yahoo etc...infact it's rumored to be making a specail showing on good morning america.
Kinect has the the family games...the wieght loss set up and the lets get togther all in thier image. Move doesnt.
Moves line up was lack luster...hell...it didnt even have a great showing. Kinect went for what its targeted for. So yeah it will sell.
first of all kinect's entry price is $149.99
kinect's games are $59.99
move's entry price is $49.99
move's first party offerings are $39.99
move bundle which brings, a demo disc and sports champions and ps eye and ps move is $99.99
PS3 250gb with SPORTS CHAMPIONS, and DEMO DISC, and PS MOVE, and PS EYE, is $399.99
PS3 250GB with nothing is $349.99.. so..
Move is much more advanced than the wii mote, and offers a bit more than the wii with the ps eye and its games, plus combining 3d with both is crazy. So I see it capturing people's interests.

You're not being realistic.
Very few people will only buy one move controller. Not to mention most will think they will have to have navi as that's the case with the most familiar similar product, aka Wiimote nunchuk.
So, the realistic purchase is $150 vs $200($140 w/o any navis).
As for the games. The dance game on kinect out does every game listed for Move so far in casual appeal. Not to mention, the same lower quality Kinect games will probably also be $40. On top of that NOTHING in Move's lineup is unqique versus what is already offered on Wii. The expanded audience won't buy that just for HD. Its just not that important. However, they may want the expanded entertainment features, the fitness game, and the dance game from Kinect. Mostly, I don't think so, but I think Kinect fares a better chance than Move.
Btw, teh demo disc is Wii Sports Resort, I mean Sports Champions, its not a different thing.

I don't think Move will convert too many Wii owners either. But if Sorcery delivers, it probably will be enough for me to purchase it by itself. It's the only game that really showed an experience I hadn't seen on the Wii and looks awesome.
All I know is that there is nothing in either of these pricing structures that is going to make a Wii owner want to "upgrade."
For example, Both Pachter and Divdich predicted the PS3 with Move would be the Wii HD upgrade. That's $400 for a system bundle, $30 for a Navi -- That's $430 -- or more than twice the cost of a Wii. And the second player outfit is $125 for the PS3 vs. $60 for the Wii, again a 2x difference.
Meanwhile, the lowest Xbox Arcade/Kinect bundle being predicted is $300 -- or 1.5x the price of a Wii. And the price of the new slim model plus Kinect is $450 -- or more than twice the cost for a Wii (and more than the cost of the PS3 with Move above). Second player outfitting is slightly cheaper on the 360 -- $50 vs. $60.
The point is that both of these add-ons are risky and now they are pricy.
