Some might have expected that Wii userbase was about to upgrade after what was about to be shown at E3. Both Microsoft and Sony were presenting their final versions of their motion solutions with software and were adding the 3D to the HD offering.

As I see it, Wii userbase will very much consider upgrading... To a 3DS!!!

Most of the IPs which have been left out of the Wii offering will even be included as developers have shown an unprecedent (only seen on SNES) support: Assasin's Creed, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Kingdom Hearts, Persona...

I never purchased a handheld. Never felt like doing it. Never, until now.

well, Microsoft has Kinect and Sony has 3D and PS move but they are both so similar to Wii and a 3D tv is way too expensive with no real reason to buy one at the moment

Ms and Sony motion controls are good, but too little and too late, with no Mario

3DS has awesome features, and games, the future!!

You have been missing out. I never owned a handheld until the DS, but man have I had a lot of fun with that thing.

But lucky you! You'll get access to all those great DS titles when you buy a 3DS. You'll still miss out on a few awesome GBA games, but you can't have it all.

The best part of the non 3d stuff of the 3DS. Was Tag Mode GARBAGE. Tag MODE SUCKED. It was  great ideas. I've complained about Tag Mode ever since I first tried it. The likely hood of tag mode working was ridiculous. The machine has to be running a specific game and in sleep mode. That's bull. This new method of it just being on regardless of what your doing with the DS. That's going to create ground breaking connectivity. Having to be active in online options is the big break down. Now that's it's behind the scenes. Total win.

I love my PSP, but I can't wait for this. Move over Wii I have a new love.

I know right? I was like 3DS  will never replace wii. But when I saw what it can do and saw the games I was like. Wii your days are numbered after Zelda is relased anyway

If they have Star Fox 64 3D, then they HAVE to make Ocarina of Time 3D.

I'm not sure that it's competition (i still don't think a handheld could replace a home console for me), but it's the first handheld I've thought about getting.
