MS will drop the price when Kinect comes out. They dont want to have to clear the existing units at less than $150/$250 so they introduce the Slim at $300 then drop 5 months later.

we don't know about that ,,,so we can speculate all we want.

What we are told is that X360 basically got price hike due to adding internal harddrive and built in wi-fi.

so slim X360 will be $299 and $399 without kinect for now.and kinect is apearently $149 on its own according to ebgames pricing.

Please pause the video at 1:30 for the second time now. Read the 3 prices. And the titles for what the items are.

I'm guessing this confirms we'll see Arcade and Elite versions of the slim, the old models have to phased out by november. They simply cannot not have sold them by then.

dude that's probably a mistake on EBgames behalf.

greenburg said it on gametraielr interview that bundle is not announced yet and they will announce it for holidays.for now everything is standalone.

it's hard to believe that X360 got price hike ,,,but it did.

You really believe that a bundle Elite with Kinect would be $450-$550?

Sorry, thats never ever gonna happen. Think about it. Thats near the horrendous PS3 launch price. M$ are not stupid. Smart yes. $399 for Elite bundle is very good for M$. $299 for Arcade bundle makes so much sense. Priced perfect. Not to little, not to less.

So your willing to accept the $149 price for Kinect as right, but not the other 2?

It makes perfect sense. This price scheme I am 99% certain will happen.
