Wait, where will there be a $450 ps3 bundle?  I believe they said a controller plus eyetoy plus game bundle will be $79.  $79 $349 for 250 gb ps3 = $428.  Since it is a bundle, they'd prob do it at $399.  I'd much rather have ps3 and move than 360 and kinect

Ms is going against big N. They're going uphill, here. They need a price advantage to even begin, let alone the games to push it.

250$ (tops) - 200$ >> mainstream. That kind of price falls under impuls buy. There's a reason a 600 dollar PS3 didn't take of like the slim.

Did you really think the tech itself was crap?

I thought the tech was potentially amazing (imagine that avatar from the Ubisoft fitness game breaking out of that junk and into a real, satisfying video game) but the direction they are going with the software is horrible.

The combination of that choice of direction and the lack of new games announced for the next 12 months does make me kind of mad at MS though.

I think the tech is far from crap, but rest I agree with. As a gaming device, this will be hopeless. However as a user interface device, Kinect is brilliant.

As long as Ms keeps giving us core games, I will gladly pay for Kinect and use it as a media center device it is meant to be. And I don't see how they are letting us down with core gaming.

XBL Summer of arcade includes an exclusive 2D Castlevania game with multiplayer...made by Iga himself. Like that alone wins E3 for me right there.

At this price it is definitely possible that kinect will fail.

But we shouldn't forget... MS are masters of exaggerated advertising, so casuals will probably buy it even with that price.

It's kind of weird that you're saying that before any other conferences have taken place (Nintendo or Sony, for example) but I guess that just shows how much you love Castlevania.  It is a great series!
