Forums - Gaming - Did Microsoft just gifted SONY the HD WAR?

Dunno, it's a complex question.

Move is literally a Wii HD. Will probably captivate existing users more than Kinect, but for me Kinect has much more potential. Will the market respond to something so different?

I did see a trend, Sony clearly paid off EA and Valve for stuff like the total 180 switch Valve has done Steam on PS3 PS3 exclusive stuff like Medal of Honor HD and Dead Space Extraction HD. So maybe Sony is now gonna return to their PS1 and early PS2 days of moneyhatting like MS has done this gen.

Yet you have ignored what was officially said and gone for the "official" announcement that had to be clarified as it was wrong. You forget that last bit. Not surprised you've missed a lot.

Guess we can both agree ninty won e3.

AARON GREENBERG said they would work out a deal

BUT SQ and SONY said it was console exclusive atm

SQ said they were looking at options but atm FF14 is PS3 console exclusive

I love how you say things like launch exclusive or atm when i bring the comments up but when i don't you ignore that and go with console exclusive period for ever.

it's like i have to remind you.

in PS2 gen all GTA games were called exclusive till they were announced for XBOX an year later

so FF14 is exclusive to PS3 on consoles

keep reminding but you aren't gonna play it this year on consoles if you don't have a PS3

no what's a joke is the FORZA game control's with an invisible steering wheel!

now that In my opinion is a joke

just like call of duty exclusive DLC on the xbox360..lol

As for money hatting

do not be so sure of that:

"Today during Sony’s press conference EA revealed that a Move enhanced port of Dead Space Extraction will come pack inside Dead Space 2’s Limited Edition. Previously exclusive to the Wii, Dead Space Extraction was a brilliant on-rails shooter which ultimately garnered more attention for it’s shockingly low sales than anything else. No word yet on whether Dead Space Extraction will be available independent of the Limited Edition but I suspect this announcement also means that we can expect the former Wii exclusive to also appear on the PSN in the near future."

does that looked like it was money hatted to you?

the game was already released on the Wii, Sony is getting a motion controlled port and you think that's being money hatted?

also because ACTIVISION chose MS,EA had to go for SOYN as ACTIVISION AND EA are too big rivals and EA want partner to chowcase their product and differentiate

so EA was also in need

also I can see more Wii motion Port's coming Sony's way, and Why not the Game's are already done adding something to the game an making maybe some enhancement's to the visuals would be cheaper than making a brand new game for some 3rd party publisher's and developer's.

Get some of those exclusive 3rd party Wii motion controlled game's for the PS3 is in my opinion pretty good because that make's getting the 3rd party developer's another chance to sell more of their game's which give's them more of a chance to make more game's.

not quite killed the Hype, but maybe for Kinect support for core gamer's hype.

"like an invisible steering wheel..come on! racing with an Invisible steeringwheel!"

I think's that is the big problem. Nintendo's and Sony's control scheme's for motion control's for core gamer's are more suited to control shooter's than Kinect. Sony's has very good precision which is what you need in shooter's.
