I think they must have failed arithmetic:

"Developers aren’t pushing as hard to make good games for the Wii simply because there is no incentive to do so. As a developer, you can put your eggs into one basket (Wii) and try and develop a blockbuster game to generate profits that may or may not tank, OR, you can diversify your market by designing a game for two or three other markets (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). From a company’s standpoint, which would make more sense? "

1 Wii game ($5 Million to $10 Million) vs. 2 to 3 PS3/XBox 360/PC games ($40 Million to $120 Million) ... You require sales in the 150,000 to 300,000 range to break even on the Wii as compared to sales of over 500,000 for each of the PS3/XBox 360/PC games ... Which makes more sense?

This article only exists to drive gamers to their site ...

That was a pretty good point you made.

Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

This is so 2006.

except in 2006 people didn't know better and half an intelligent person has learned that there is a new market that nobody has seen before and now nintendo has a chance at doing something Apple have done with the ipod, if somebody had said to me three years ago that both my mam and my dad would have an ipod each and my dad would actually be onto his 2nd model as he's just changed to a Nano.

The Wii could just become another household name and that it may just be decided on other factors than games - who knows? Thats where they're going with Ds demo stations, interactive tv guides, wii fit, VOIP (it'll come in 09 I reckon)

Now please, dear reader, don’t fly off the handle thinking that I’m completely trouncing on the Wii. I own a Wii and enjoy it thoroughly. But while the Wii can be a fun system to play, it seems that at this point it’s not much more than a novelty item vice a “next gen” gaming system. Even more evident is the lack of great games being released, especially when the 360 and PS3 are pumping out not only their own exclusives, but killer ports as well. And that’s not to say that the Wii doesn’t have any good games; it does. But how many of these games are pushed from third party developers versus the amount of great games developed first party? You can’t win on an ingenuitive control scheme alone.

First off the idiot he is would know that all most all of the third party games made for the Wii are crap and we as Nintendo fans know when someone just made a crappy game. A lot of the games are just ports from the ps2 or just put together like crap. Look at NBA Live 08 and Cruis'n. We all know those game and more like them are crap.So we should the developer we do not like it by not buying there games. If you look at Resident Evil 4 and see how well of a game that is! Well they put same time into make it a half decent game even those it was a port. So if your going to make shitty games for the Wii, we will not buy it!!!

I specifically heard fanboys touting the phrase "flash in the pan" with regards to the Wii last year. This is either an old article or the author is very behind the times.
