How do you guys think sony will repond? What will happen sales wise? How do you guys think the slim will affect the launch of Kinect (Natal).

I believe it will bring about the claims of a coffin for Sony and the PS3 again and when Kinect gets in full swing, it will be deemed to proverbial Final Nail.

It depends entirely on pricing, but i don't think it will have nearly as much of an impact as Slim had on PS3. Slim was only significant in that it dragged the price down to $300, and that was only significant because that was the first time the PS3 was properly available at a mass-market price. 360 has long since surpassed that mark.

Considering Natal is 190 I can only assume the slim will run around 250 which will make a minor impact not sure it will make up that 35- 40 k weekly gap especially if PS3 has a price drop as well.

The impact won't be as big as the moment the PS3 drops below $200. That price point did wonders for both 360 and Wii, and with PS3 being a Blu-Ray player aswell.....

Then again looking at the recently rumored pics, the redesigned 360 doesn't really look like a slim device anyway...

Exactly, in the public's eye, the Xbox 360 cannot get any cheaper for it already is pretty cheap. The PS3 has always been known as the wallet-puncher, so when a price drop as significant as the Slim release price launched. Millions came out in droves to purchase it. 

true but in the U.S. xbox 360 still sold more than the ps3 in the holiday season when slim came out

will be small...quote me on it, and this will become true when Sony Conference arrives.
