Forums - Microsoft - Xbox 360 Slim LEAKED Picture!!!!!

Without dimensions this isn't that useful. Think I prefer this design to the original, which was exactly what it said on the tin, a box. Looks like this has more vents so hopefully should run cool and quiet.

As for console sales, I think we'll have a better idea after E3 and both Sony and MS have announced how they're going to release and price Natal/Move, games and Slim/price drops.

Look at the DVD drives as I doubt the DVD size shrunk. Although it doesn't give us 100% accurate dimensions it still gives us a pretty good idea on it's size.

you don't have to troll the other console to get excited for something..

you didn't see me go "360 IS FUCKED, PS4 IS COMING" when those ps4 teasers for ps3 were coming out..

Also, unless it drops in price, I don't expect the gap to go up.

No you just got extremely over-excited when those PS4 teasers came out

LOL read some of your posts from that day Leo! {I am guilty too!!}

who is damage controlling? (this is to the guy that said nice to see ps3 fans damage control) did you not read XBOX fans post?

"PS3 sales will decline, and 360 will make the gap go back to 8 million" What, we are just supposed to agree with him?

Now the ball is in SONY's court

I think we could see the gap go up a bit again, but not by much.

I don't know, I don't have much faith in it, it's ugly and casual gamers prolly have a Wii already, they can market it however they want but it's still motion control. I really don't see that many killer apps on the 360 this year so far besides Reach and it's not exactly a blue ocean that MS and Sony are swimming into. It's not like MS has first party studios to back up the system vs well, Nintendo first party. The fact is that a lot of people have a Wii for Nintendo games, MS simply doesn't have that type of reputation nor does Sony(a little less known to normal consumers vs Nintendo's IPs.)

I still believe that the most important thing to most end users are the actual game play experience, and Nintendo has already provided that kind of experience since 2006, so why would they even think about getting Kinetic or the Move? I for one sure don't, and I'm in the "most important thing in a video game is the game play" group myself. /shrug

Also on a side note, I've noticed for awhile now that cute and cartoony graphics work much better in attracting non-gamers or new-gamers in general, not more realistic looking stuff. MS and Sony really should take notes on that shit or they'll be going nowhere.

Also did anyone else notice that the USB slots as well as the memory card slots are gone?

I also wonder if the faceplate is replaceable anymore.

say a $199.00 PS3...:P

no that was a typo on our site..lol

lol its not impossible. I think a PS3 bundled with Move at $299 which adds value will be their best "move" right now (that wasn't intentional...the move bit)

wow it looks more like a PC than ever before.

Sorry but it most definitly is ugly,,,uglier than PS3 slim

I also realized, like others here that there are a lot more ventilation holes, this is probably due to the possible internal HDD and WiFi as both generate plenty of heat.

Am maybe thinking this could be a wind up. As mentioned USB slots are gone. If they want this to be somekind of home entertainment thing would they have you plugging in your controller/plug and play kit at the back of the console? I just can't see that happening. The design looks a lot like a pc case mod. I won't believe it until i see it on stage to be honest.

Lol.

While a price cut / re-designed console with some additional features will obviously push more sales than before....I wonder how much?  The 360 already is sitting at a peak entry point and still has a tremendous price advantage over the PS3.  It's still being outsold on a week to week basis.

If Sony has reduced the price of parts in their console and releases a newer, cheaper, SKU.....It is totally feasible they could hit the $250 price point.

You are smoking some serious dope if you believe that Microsoft will include Natal upgraded 360 features for $200.  This is the same company that has charged you for online usage, outrageously high prices for network adapters and forced you into their specific  over-priced HDDs.

I really believe the PS3 has won the war (with the 360) on the sense that they have the power in pricing.  Another price drop to $200 for the PS3 would only further increase PS3 sales and the 360 has already hit a mass market price and really doesn't have much lower to go than 100$ and is already losing on a week to week basis.

Additionally, they have relatively limited First Party presence, so they have a smaller chance to rapidly pump out as many titles as you are watching  Sony pump out.   Unless Natal is a huge critical succcess and Move isn't.  I just don't see Microsoft being able to re-energize themselves enough.   I still believe they will be able to do enough to hold onto 2nd place though.
