In casting his predictions ahead of the impending E3 event in Los Angeles, Michael Pachter has stated "I admit it, I was wrong" regarding Nintendo planning to release an HD version of their hugely successful Wii console.
His comments, taken from the latest episode of Gametrailers.com 'Pach-Attack,' are as follows "I think Wii HD is not happening. I admit it, I was wrong. I think Nintendo just does not agree with me that they need to do something to stave off competition from Sony with the Move, Microsoft with Natal. I think those guys are going to take some share from Nintendo in 2011; without a Wii HD, I think Nintendo will wait until it's a little too late to launch that device."
Of course it isn't unusual to find Pachter making incorrect assumptions, so it will be during Nintendo's E3 Conference when we will discover if they are to unveil any plans to improve upon the current console's highest resolution capability of 480p.
