Demons Souls is actually the best WRPG..sorry guys i know its rough.

That is a JRPG not a WRPG

Even if Demon's Souls is a WRPG I doubt its as awesome as Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion!

I'll find out soon

Demons is acually a WRPG developed by a japanese comapny. It has waaaaay more in common with WRPGs than JRPG's. Older scrawls isnt that great

Even Bioware calls it a JRPG, son!

And I can't think of a single WRPG that plays anything like it.  It's really it's own unique style of game, and the only way you could put it into either camp would be by using the "JRPGs = RPGs from Japan, WRPGs = RPGs from the West" logic.  Aside from that, I'd lump into the wider, all encompassing action/adventure genre that covers misfits like Demon's Souls.

Bioware made SONIC and The Dark Brotherhood....that alone shows they know nothing about JRPG's.

This is bad. Shooters are slowing taking over, I fear we will get to a point where every developer feels they need to be a shooter in some way to be successful. I really feel Itagki has beant to this will of the shooter craze...but like i said i may be overeacting but it does bother me.

and yes the characters lacked there "Itagkiness" seemed slightly generic

And RoF is not shooter, its a SRPG

Shooters are not taking over, They are better period.

You like a dying genre, too bad. But shooters are not the cause, the people who make the games you like are to blame.

While shooters are innovating, getting better each and every game, RPG fans live in the past. The games arent getting better. It's over, deal with it. Stop hating on the shooters, there are plenty of non-shooters out there that are terrific.

right, rpg and rts genres are boring and dying. whatever, The shooter market is getting too crowed these days, and sales are fragmenting. They'd be better off making a good rpg that can sell over a million copies. The see games like halo and COD and they think they can copy it, so they spend $100 million making a shooter and end up getting crappy sales.

I'm pretty sure we already have a thread to discuss that.  Ya know, this one.

Devil's Third should be good.  Some of the shooting seemed a bit clunky but other parts of the shooting seemed up to snuff.  I'm not too worried though.  It's an action game by Itagaki.

Am I the only one who thinks Socom 4 looks horrible?

Nice to see some LIGHT in Killzone 3!

Fallout: New Vegas is looking to much like Borderlands for my taste.

Devil Wears Prada (or whatever)? Skip!

I really like how we had an in depth WRPG discussion earlier and managed to ignore Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Fable II.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

Sadly, I agree...

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.
