Nice work! You forgot to include the Wii version of Modern Warfare, though.

Society has bad taste...

@Pineapple:

I would include Link's Crossbow Training as part of the Zelda Franchise, though that would only barely push the franchise onto the list for this gen. I think.

@Chrizum:

Nah, I didn't. It's marketed differently with a different name, so I don't count it. That's the rule I used for everything - it's why I didn't include All-Play versions of sports games.

I'm sorry but I really don't understand that. The All-Play games are also exactly the same as their non All-Play counterparts. And you did count the DS versions of Call of Duty, while those are most definitely completely different games.

Call of Duty 4 on Wii is 100% identical to Call of Duty 4 on 360 and PS3.

Marketed as different game, doesn't get put on the list. It's an odd distinction, but it's very clear and lets me set down well-defined parameters for inclusion.

It's about marketing, rather than content.

It's your list, but I'll just have to disagree.

Nintendo has $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

By VGChartz data, the total software sales this generation are so far at ~ 1,850,000,000

The top 10 games (by Khuutra's list) are at about 253 million. The biggest 10 games account for 13.8% of the total sales.

The top 20 games account for roughly 20% of all the software sales.

That's terrifying.

Looks like you haven't updated this in almost a month.  You just going to update it once a month or so?  Nice thread considering I see a lot of Nintendo.  Grats on your work.
