Its good news but i struggle to see what sort of difference it makes to a FPS as far as running and gunning goes.

I have to admit, I don't like the ergonomics of the WM in an FPS. I usually hinge the Wii Remote with my hand, on my leg, to point at the screen. Now, the WM gets in the way, and doesn't work well to hinge. Haven't gotten used to it yet (with RS2) and doesn't look like it's happening too soon.

Good thing it's optional then.

yup...but...I WANT to get used to it....for the mandatory applications in the future. Assuming that there will be.

Well the best solution is to keep trying until you do. I had a learning curve with the Wiimote pointer in the first place.

I had the same problem....then I got used to hinging it on my leg :)

Anyway enough complaining....I'll deal with it.

As long as you're honest that you're just not used to it. My brother blamed Nintendo for making such a controller, and that I did call on.

Yea, the way I see it, I haven't seen anyone complain about it, so I figured it was just something I had to get used to. Just a struggle at the moment.

Hey Mario 64 took some time for me to get used to. Sure the running was nice, but the control, especially the jumping, took a learning curve. Even mouse and keyboard FPS, since I was so used to console controls.

Here's some more news on it from the same website:

"Alright, so I had a nice chat with Jeremiah Cauthorn, the weapons designer for the Conduit 2. I was asking him about how the Wii Motion Plus will be used. Apparently, aside from tracking your movements off screen, it’s also going to be used for melee weapons! He couldn’t give me an further details, but regardless, it looks like that’s going to be part of the Conduit 2 experience."

Didn't see them ruling it out here, but I might have missed it.

If they did, they likely felt it wasn't needed, since melee attackes are very simple anyway. It's just press and hit.

It wasn't mentioned in this thread but HVS have confirmed that there will be no motion controlled melee attacks.

Yeah they're simple but i still think it would've been fun, think they might be saving that feature for the grinder though ...

umm ... they just announced that there will be motion plus melee attacks

but they did rule it out ... i swearz it

In my opinion Twilight Princess is better than Ocarina of t... * gets shot *
