Really? Both in sales and progressive quality Mass Effetc and Mass Effect 2. Gears 1 and 2. Splinter Cell Conviction. Alan Wake. M$ have fantastic high quality 3rd party exclusives.

Most of those arent exclusive, and gears 2 is the only one that has sold really well and is exclusive.

Honestly Sony has done the best job generating good titles from first and second party developers - and this coming from a rather big XBox fanboy. I wish MS would take a hint as well instead of getting rid of great studios (Esemble, and how we sold Bizaree studios. Tho luckily we still got Blur on our system.)

They're not exactly uncommon on DS, PSP or Wii...

does sony actually have any real 3rd party exclusive games? Agent is just a mystery that may be multiplatform(just like Quantum Theory was ps3 exclusive until recently) and Square Enix constantly talks about Versus 13 going multiplatform. besides that there's only annual Yakuza games and 2-3 weird ass jrpg games that are borderline hentai. and most of those we're still secured by Sony(moneyhatted)

 

xbox 360 have all 3rd party love if we're talking about HD platforms. Kalypso is making games exclusively to 360 same as 1C Company. City Interactive will make only 360 games if we're talking about consoles(they have 3 upcoming games for xbox besides Sniper: Ghost Warrior), Korean developers are also more willing to make games exclusive to 360 than to ps3 or even going multiplatform. 

so as far as i'm concerned 3rd party ps3 exclusive are pretty much dead.

And were back to this. We're either talking about consoles are we aren't, don't change the parameters in the middle of the argument. And if you want to play it that way, then Ill say this: MS might have exclusives, but the 360 has nothing.

so i guess we can scratch Gran Turismo 5, LittleBigPlanet, MLB games, FF14, Modnation Racers from list of exclusive titles they're either on pc or psp. if we will add franchises that ended up on psp after one ps3 game then ps3 has nothing.

The PS3 does have something and just because the owners of the IP feel that its best to move onto other platforms doesn't mean that the exclusive games that are already in existence are now "scratched off" the exclusive list. I understand where you're coming from when you mentioned LittleBig Planet and Modnation Racers, but when you included Gran Turismo 5 then I felt as if you just destroyed your own argument. Both of the Play, Create, and Share genre games have pretty much the same content for both the PS3 and PSP versions, but not Gran Turismo (PSP) and Gran Turismo 5. Those are two different games.
