Super mario world is the 2nd best 2-D mario game ever after mario bros wii

Super mario world was so much more creative than than mario 3.  World was crazy and had levels that I never thought were imgenable. the theme worlds of desert and wter and others were boring but that's due to every platformer milking the things these days.

You know what?  Just SMB3 because the controls are perfect.  Perfect I say!

All Mario games have perfect controls.

SMB3 All-Stars/GBA version > Mario World >>>>> SMB3 vanilla

Mario 3 is the best, love the music and levels.

SMB3. Just because it cemented the gameplay style for all others to come.

Super Mario Bros 3, quite possibly the best SMB game ever.

Super Mario 3. World is good, but the small number of levels and overall low difficulty once you get the physics down (why must Nintendo change the physics in every Mario game?) lead me to like Mario 3 more. World has longer levels than 3, but 3's levels are based around a different gameplay element in every level (until the super impossible levels of World 7's middle and the controller snapping nightmare of 8-1) where as World is more uniform platforming. Yoshi is almost awesome enough to put World over but I'm going to have to go with 3.

As said by many, both are awesome games... but for me it's easily Super Mario World.  My favorite Mario game and my third favorite game of all time.
