okay ive played a few metal gears 2,3, spec ops and peacewalker but i have a question. What is with his ever changing appearance's in the game. Metal gear solid 3 and peacewalker are before metal gear solid 1 in a time frame sense i believe so why is it that snakes looks younger in Metal gear solid 1 and 2 as compared to the games were he's supposed to be younger. anyone care to explain?

Because Naked Snake is not Solid Snake.

you are aware that snake from MGS 1 2 and 4 is not the same snake from mgs 3 and the psp ones right?
