haha you know what I actually tried the thing they did on andriasang :P

I "accidently" pressed a button and took all of Fioruns clothes off XP

*minor spoilers*

So the story, my japanese is good but not perfect so I got most of it so far, and I'm only at the begining.

As most of you know at the begining o the world the two gods fought and when they killed each other  the world was formed. Flashforwad to the present day world and the Kishin from the metal god are fighting with the people from the

other one. It seems the Kishin are after a sword called Monado (which looks a lot like the sword that the organic god was fighting with). In the intro Dunban is weilding the Monado and with the help of some others just about holds of the invading army. Flashforward again 1 year later. We find Shulk scavenging materials from the bodies of dead kishin soldiers. What I can gather about him is that he seems to be an engineer of techinician of sorts as later you find that he has been taking care of the monado and I think fixing it. Rein is his best friend and talks to him like an older brother. Dunban has been recovering from the injuries he recieved from the battle but doesn't seem to be fully recovered as he can't hold a spoon with his right hand. Fiorun is Dunban's sister and has a thing for Shulk but won't say it outright for which she is chided by Dunban.

And that's all folks for now :P At the moment Shulk seems a little different from most main characters as he seems to just want to find out why the kishin are attacking them and the secret of monado.

Gotta go to work, later people.

ssssooo first playthrough and it's all good so far (^^)b

I have monster hunter tri and I have to say the graphics in Xenoblade blow that away easily :P

The draw distance is amazing! bit strange on the close stuff though somethings seem to appear faster than

others but it's not off putting. Character models are alright although sometimes the faces look weird and other times

they look perfectly fine (^^;

I really love the freedom though, the fact you can go anywhere and jump off anything has awoken the lemming in me rofl and I keep wanting to jump of things :D I haven't died from a fall yet (although I almost did)

So far I've been exploring, still haven't been all the way round the colony yet!

About battles - so the first battle you have is actually in the intro, you control Dunban as they fight off the Kishin troops, the combat seems simple with you moving around and waiting for your special moves to become available. I'm sure it will become better once I face more difficult enemies. Also most creatures and passive but some aren't, but even if the monster wants to attack you you can still run away until they give up.

About controls - The controls are very easy to work out and I didn't need to look at the manual to work out anything at all. Camera is good mostly although in the city when you go to some small tight areas it acts funny but I figured out that it's actually try to move through the scenery like it was actually there! strange way to make the camera me thinks.

Other things - Quests are found all around the place and people with quests have an exclamtion mark above their head. Main story quests are shown by the arrow leading you where to go next but this can be ignored. If it is a main quest then the game does a good job of helping you by marking out the people you have to find with a red exclamation mark. The relationship thing was interesting and once found and activated you go through a conversation and have to pick the best answers, it would be interesting to go back and choose the wrong ones and see what happens :P

Once you have a party it's very easy to switch the leader, and each character moves differently. Shulks jump is kinda gay lol but Fiorun's is pretty good :)

Music is really good and the time changer and telportation systems work really well

That's all I can think of right now but I'll try and write again once I've played it more (^^)

If there are any qeustions just ask

...*drools*...

you lucky lucky bastard, im so freaking jealous!

anyhwo the game looks and sounds incredible. this discription and the vids (music is simply amazing) get me very hyped...

oh and btw, Welcome

Solid impressions. As long as it doesn't suck, I'm happy!

Since the Xeno team is making it I think we can AT THE LEAST hope the story is "Good"....of course it can be much more than that, but that team is knowns for great stories.

Story is my lowest concern about Xenoblade.

In fact now I have no concerns about its quality, just maybe difficulty, I despise games that get way too difficult.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

^^ no way ! lol, i don't want to risk spoiling any major story events and plot twists!

I'll take your word on this one, really looking forward to this game, hope they give a ridiculously close release date at E3! :)

I just can't stand wanting so much a game. I don't know how the hell am I supposed to be able to wait for it. I still gotta buy me FF XIII and ROF anytime soon, but none of those attracts me half of what Xenoblade does.

Im watching a stream of Xenoblade RIGHT NOW, incase your interested.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

It looks good, but the person's TV was too dark.

It seems interesting enough though. I would play it.
