Forums - Gaming - Lead Paint and Video Games?

This is probably just me being absurd, but has anyone read anything about video game controllers ever having lead paint? Analysists expect video game sales to be up this year, as more parents plan on buying video games to replace conventional toys they feel may be tainted. It would be ironic if video game controllers also have lead paint, as they are made in china as well.

I'm quite sure Nintendo and Sony have enough quality control.

Maybe not third parties though.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

whats funny is that the lead levels they find to pull product are way lower then any our parents had growing up--like my dad just turned 52 and growing up they actualy made some of their own toys out of lead..like diecasting ya know...so i think its funny when soccer moms freak out about an amount of lead that is really that dangerious to them or their kids

so... eating and playing video games at the same time is perfectly safe?

when i was a kid my grandad gave me a bottle of mercury, about a 1 cup volume. i had it in my room for a couple of years and would play with it quite a bit actually, i loved the way it beaded up in my hands. sometimes i wonder how i managed to live as long as i have. xD

Depend on how clean your hand is and what and how you are eating it

Yes, unless you're at my house eating cheese puffs then try to pick up a Wiimote without washing your hands first. That'll win you a Wiimote upside your head.

I can't even fathom my friends' stinky feet on the Wii Balance Board. That's one accessory I won't be showing off at parties.

I make sure to coat all of my controllers in several thick layers of lead paint, to avoid TV radiation from damaging my controllers.

Is... is that what this thread is about?
