Actually the last time I said anything was beofore M$ dropped the price to $199. I said that PS3 wouldnt be close. And I was right. Then Sony dropped again ( they have dropped more than any other this gen ) which helped them come back. After 360 releases with Natal, I think it's game over Sony. But I could be wrong.

If all three big levers, Price cut, 360 , and aggressive Natal pricing (primarily bundles), are pulled, then the 360 could realistically be in first place for the holidays.

Possibily, but the most important lever in all this is games, and i dont think family orientated games will rebrand the 360 as a new family console; that is the market their trying to tap into. so i think there could be a sales surge when this all comes together, but the reason the sales have declined is because the PS3's libaray of triple A games is growing faster. and if it dosent have the games to back it up i'm not sure if it could get to 1st place.

the other thing is that the 2 other consoles can counter-measure this with their own price cuts, bundles, etc. and i think the most important thing is games. and the key thing is that move has an edge in that department; because of the similarities beween wii and move, 3rd party games like dead space extraction & resident evil the darkside chronicles can go cross platform, so natal is already at a dissadvantage.

I dont think 360 will need a price cut at all. The hardcore Ninty fans wont buy the Natal. You know the Wii fans that buy SMG for example. But the huge amount of families like my Aunty and my brother in law who have Wii's with 20 mini game type games I believe will upgrade to Natal this holiday. M$ are gonna have adverts every 15 mins for this thing. Bigger than the launch for 360 in the first place. 

I'm looking forward to September. My local Game manager in UK said they should have a M$ rep in my city then with Natal rigged up for a week instore. Cant wait for my early play.

You know this is something that could shift the balance, i'm not sure whether people who already have wii are buying natal, because its about the same price as a brand new wii, and nintendo could cut the price this year to undercut them.

hmmm, its interesting becuase this E3 everything could change, and of course, marketing is important as well. personally i'm not too keen on any motion control, but i am interested in who is buying natal or who knows people that are ??? and why??

I got your back on this Selnor...(not the game over for sony stuff) but if MS. launches Natal so that come Sept or Oct you can't buy a 360 without Natal then holiday sales for the 360 this year could be their highest ever without a pricecut.
