Forums - Nintendo - Wii owners make room for EARTHSEEKER on your hype list. I just have!!

if the schttp://www.famitsu.com/image/8904/RT47ZGQT9y32ZyLa9L1929CX1Fdi799I.htmlreens dont show:

- Humanity has loaded refugee ships with the Earth's great artifacts
- the ships crash land and spread artifacts everywhere
- the ships' computers are trying to remake this new planet in Earth's image, but are having trouble due to issues that arose when they crash happened
- this new planet has now been populated by strange plants and animals
- the creatures/monsters were made by the computers combining elements from encyclopedias
- one creature can transform
- the guardians of the planet are not happy with how it is being remade in a human image, but they will work with humans in exchange for alcohol
- guardians will be used in battle somehow
- advance guardians via tech in your ship
- guardians use "Energy Balls" to fight
- the ships have since fused with the plantlife on the planet to make for dangerous situations
- there are now areas that contain poison in the air, which makes for hazardous passage
- one ship is called the "Star Ship France" as it appears to have the Eiffel Tower in it

Thanks to Famitsu we're getting an early look at upcoming Wii game Earth Seeker. Developed by a studio called Crafts & Meister, this game tells the story of the destruction of Earth. It's an action title that's due out this winter in Japan, and is about 60% done as of now.

New scans give us some story details on the game. This quote from one of the game's developers, Noritaka Funamizu, sets the stage:

The game kicks off on a post-apocalyptic Earth. All the world's human heritage gets packed into a spaceship and evacuated off the planet, but the spaceship crashes into another planet and its cargo gets scattered all over the place. The ship's main computer is trying to recreate Earth's ecosystem on this planet, but the crash has affected it and it's producing all this messed-up plant and animal life instead, which is hugely impacting the land.

Humanity has loaded ships with Earth's precious artifacts but the ships crash and spread them everywhere. The strange plants and animals aren't making things any easier for them either. And the planet's original inhabitants? They aren't happy about the crash or the reworking of their planet, but they're willing to work with humans in exchange for booze.

GoNintendo has some interesting tidbits as well as some scans. It seems that the guardians of the planet will be used in battle somehow. In these battles you'll go up against large monsters that inhabit the planet. They use energy balls to fight, and can be advanced with your ship's technology. I liked that there is one ship called Star Ship France, and it contains the Eiffel Tower (shown above).

This sounds very interesting and imaginative so far, doesn't it?

nooo its not a shooter..so it doesnt count. your trying to say this doesnt interest you in the even alittle? is not even a post-apocalyptic game really thats just the premise for being on a new planet

It not being a shooter already wins it some points.

But why do those bastards always blow up New York?

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

what games have the developer previously made?

btw i'm holding my hype back until i see some in-game screens, altough i like the post-apocalyptic premise. fragile dreams left me wanting some more.

I'm with smokedhostage. Generally post-apocalyptic games are quite a turnoff.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

im gonna do what DarkChronos is doing and saving my hype for aome actual screens and gameplay details. however it is very interesting.

Can you think of a better city to blow up? All those great landmarks... who could resist?!

This game sounds insane. Reminds me of Little King's Story.

At least I'm hyped for the game. It sounds great and studio's first games are usually quality.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."
