lolol I was 8 or 9 (And I was born in 92 so it came out when I was 7) at the time slimebeast, all I did in my summer holidays was play AOE II back then, I betrayed allies & took kingdoms. It was really really fun.

And at the time its graphics seemed AMAZING to me believe it or not.

I don't mind old games, my top 5 games of this gen include the Dragon Quest 5 & Final Fantasy 4 Remakes on Nintendo DS....old graphics don't matter as long as the story is compelling, characters are likeable & the gameplay is fun.

It actually don't have that many likeable characters (although the villians are the kind that you love to hate :P ), I said that it's more similar to Oblivion, didn't I?

LOL I see what you did there.

I think I'll check it out

@Slimebeast

Age Of Empires really wasn't that complicated back then either, at 9 I could finish TOmb Raider 1 too! I think I could beat FF8 when I was 9.

I understand, cool. But... lol I hope you aren't comparing the complexity of AoE to Tomb Raider, are you?

AoE II was complex?

Yes for a 9 year old.

I disagree.

Ok so seeing how developers will keep on trying to put in that noob feature, the regenerating health, ad try and pass it off as a way for them to fine tune encounters. Why don't they make enemies also have the regenerating thing? So when you hide to regen, they do so as well? That way they can still use the "it allows us to control encounters" argument without noobing up and dumbing down the game.

I woud like such features, not everyone likes to get frustrated to the point of throwing the controller while playing the game.

kthnxbye

And those people have Mario to play witht he galactic guide. Don't ruin my games cause of noobs. There is also the Easy difficulty, that one should be reserved for the noobs who need the health regen in combat. Anything above that should be srsbsns.

kthxbye

Thats a different issue altogether. Letting enemies have regenerating health would be very annoying.

You want to play it hard, then you have the option of a very hard mode in games nowadays

kthnxgoodbye

That's what I mean by noobing up the game so everyday chobs can go "oh yeah! I jsut beat the game on HARD!" Remove regening health, or give enemies regening health on Normal and above, because the game shouldn't dumbed down for the spacial subgroup of people who can't stand the heat.

Wait a Minute is this a trailer for a movie....Wow looks like it will have a great story

This Better come out on 360 or my 2nd option ps3

Regenerating health is absolutely despicable. But who said Deus Ex 3 is gonna have that?

One of the producers said that during an interview. They decided to use Regen Health instead of Med Kits because in previous games, they said players had difficulty trying to reach the end of levels with low health and there was no way of recovering the health without backtracking and searching the area for Med Kits. So that's why Eidos decided to overcome that issue by using Regen Health.
